About me
Thanks for stopping by! Pull up a comfortable chair, grab a cup of tea or a glass of wine, and let’s get to know each other a little bit!
I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t writing. As a very little girl, my grandfather helped me write a story about martians in the front garden (you can read a bit about that here), and I was hooked.
I wrote in pencil, and eventually pen as I chronicled my angst-filled teenage years. In university, I started with a typewriter and finished up using my very first computer (it ran off two dual floppy disks!) to craft stories and a thesis for my journalism degree.
I’ve used those skills to forge a successful career in Corporate Communications, and while it’s great, there’s a part of me that needs to express myself more creatively. And with three now grown-up kids, there’s been no shortage of stories to tell!
So Why Act 2 Scene 1?
At 50-something, I’m now definitely the second half of my life, but I don’t feel that way. I’m a yoga-practising, cartwheel-turning, choir-singing, theatre-going, nature-loving, glass-half-full kind of person and and I’m always looking for new challenges and ideas to keep things interesting!
On this blog, I explore thoughts that have been rattling around in my head, from current affairs to parenting, from travel to the awe-inspiring world around us, and from fond memories to future dreams.
Poke around a bit and leave me a comment or two — I hope you like what you find!
